Gerad Duvin As the second son of a minor baron, Gerard was headed for a life of quiet ancestral contemplation with the local priesthood before an unfortunate incident put paid to these plans. For a time it looked as if excommunication might be on the cards, but in the end - thanks to a substantial, albeit hasty, temple contribution by his father - he was merely forbidden from going within a mile of any Lyonessian nunnery. Sensing that their son might cause further embarrassment his parents packed him off to a military school where, to everyone’s surprise, he did rather well and now heads the regiment known as L’Order Nouveau.

Francois le Chappeau The youngest son of Maurice le Chappeau, the maker of the finest hats in all of Lyonesse. Francois spent most of his youth never quite learning the skills required to become a well skilled make of hats. Instead, Francois would oft be seen chasing wild dreams and adventure (albeit in the Muncipal Parks of Lyonesse), honing his skills with the sword, bow and the wine glass. Francois now spends most of his time roaming the lands of Lyoneese with the rest of L'Order in search of adventure and excitement.
